I'm Helen Norton, a narrative artist for nearly 40 years, (60+ solo shows) with a Master’s in Jungian Analytical Psychology.

I started this website and my YouTube Channel - Soul Making Studio in late 2025 as a soulful project aside from my professional career as an artist. You can see more about my work as an artist at www.helennorton.com.au if you wish.

I wanted to create a unique space away from that area that was specifially for soul-driven artists of any age who care about symbols, story and the unconscious as much as technique – and want their work to be honest and seen.

This isn’t a “how to paint” channel and website. It’s about the psychological and spiritual work of being an artist: untangling your Style from your Voice, and healing the shame and fraud feelings that come from building a career on work that doesn’t feel like you.

My mission here is to help you:
• separate your true voice from the style you’ve been told to stick to
• change your work without losing yourself or your audience
• face imposter syndrome, creative blocks and burnout at their roots
• build a grounded, lifelong creative practice you can trust.
